Error Correction Processing (ECP)

Error correction processing is used to account for inaccuracies during the beam breaking of single-beam timing gate systems. ECP allows a way to consistently and accurately record the time an athlete’s torso breaks the beam of Timing Mate.

This is achieved by recording the data after an initial beam break and analysing to find the longest break. This time is then adjusted to be the midpoint of the longest break. Providing a centre of mass beam break and ensuring consistency amongst measurements.
